Kara Riley | Fashion + Branding Photographer | Melbourne + Mornington Peninsula

I am a freelance photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from COFA. I have contributed to such publications as the Urban Outfitters Blog, The Planthunter, North Journal and Broadsheet Sydney, and was the featured artist in the final issue of Yen Magazine.

I absolutely love hanging out with lovely people and taking their picture, which is why I created the 'Essence of Self' portrait shoot last year. I ended up meeting so many beautiful people who said that I made them feel super at ease, and I decided that I was on to a winner! From there, I have branched out in to not just portraits but full branding packages for the lovely business owners that come my way.

I specialise in 35mm analogue film photography as well as Super 8mm movies - I absolutely love the whimsical and nostalgic nature of film. I love to work with small, local businesses, ethical brands and fashion labels as well as individuals from all walks of life.

I have been photographing people and brands for the last 5 years, and have a  broad range of experience in Ecommerce fashion + product photography as well as creative portraiture. I also shoot weddings  and lovers over at The Runaway Hearts.
